The Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, however, ordered an immediate investigation into the incident, and the Baghdad government sent the Deputy Joint Operations and Border Guard Force commander to the scene of the incident to find out the details and visit the injured.
In its response to these attacks, the Iraqi government condemned the Turkish artillery attacks on Dohuk province in a strong statement, and considered it a violation of sovereignty and an attack on the security and stability of this country.
Expressing its firm opposition to Ankara's actions, Baghdad considered it to be in contradiction with international laws and emphasized that it will respond to it through diplomatic channels and the Security Council.
In the continuation of this statement, it is stated that Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi has ordered the formation of a fact-finding committee headed by Foreign Minister Fawad Hossein and the membership of a number of security officials.
In this regard, Al-Kazemi said that Turkey has committed a clear violation against the sovereignty of Iraq with its missile and artillery attacks on Dohuk province.
Right of reply reserved
Al-Kazemi also said that Turkey should adhere to the principles of good neighborliness and stop its violating military actions against Iraqi territory.
The Prime Minister of Iraq also emphasized that "we reserve our full right to respond to Turkey's aggressive actions and hold Ankara responsible for all the consequences of these aggressive actions."

On the other hand, "Al-Arabiya" sources emphasized that Iraq will complain to the United Nations Security Council about Turkey's aggressive actions against its territory.

The United Nations delegation in Baghdad also condemned Turkey's artillery and missile attacks against Dohuk province and emphasized the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq.
Closing the Iraqi border with Turkey
On the other hand, Moqtada Sadr, the leader of the Sadri movement, in response to the Turkish artillery attacks against areas in the north of Iraq, demanded to reduce the level of diplomatic relations with Ankara and to close Iraq's borders with this country.
