Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said in a statement: "In response to repeated Hezbollah raids on Iraqi bases by Coalition forces, US forces launched precision defensive strikes ... that hijacked Hezbollah's ability to carry out future operations.”  "Coalition forces will weaken.”
