12-01-2020 - On Wednesday, January 8, the Boeing 737 Ukraine, 176 minutes after taking off from the Imam Khomeini airport bound for Kiev, crashed near the new city of Parand, Tehran province.
The reactions rich in the most varied assumptions were immediate, most of which related to the possible responsibility of Iran,
And in fact, two days after the tragic event, the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a statement, admitting that the shooting down of a Ukrainian passenger plane, which killed 176 people, was due to "human error" and was caused by an "unintentional" missile launch by the IRGC.
Before the blame, however, the joint chiefs of staff of the Iranian armed forces had declared that it was the US military that shot it down, suggesting that the passenger plane had been shot down by Iran.
Needless to say, US intelligence took a short time to give the correct indications, thus prompting the iranian government to give explanations on the incident.
In a statement issued by the Armed Forces General Staff of the Islamic Republic, therefore, it is stated that since the Ukrainian plane was approaching a "sensitive military center" during the turn after takeoff, it had been "inadvertently targeted": a human error.
According to some testimonies related to the association linked to Qassem Soleimani, a former commander of the Islamic Republic of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Syria and Iraq has revealed that the order of missile attack on the Ukrainian Boeing 737 was given directly by the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who thus intended to reunite the Iranian people against the USA, to prevent a possible American invasion of Iran.
