US responds to Khamenei's Twitter:
Khamenei wrote on Twitter: When young Americans take to the streets, they can not be sure that they will not be shot by a lunatic
02-09-2020 - A State Department spokesman tweeted on Sunday (August 30th) in response to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's Twitter remarks about the African-American demonstration in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and the killing of 1,500 Iranian protesters by his Basij and security forces in November 2019.  He reminded.
State Department spokesman Morgan Ortega tweeted: "Khamenei's thugs killed 1,500 people on the streets of Iran last November.  At least 23 of them were children.  They deserved freedom and a future, not bullets fired by Basij forces."
Ortega's remarks came in response to the Iranian leader's tweets, which tweeted in English about the Kenosha riots in Wisconsin.
"When young Americans take to the streets, they can not be sure that they will not be shot and killed by a lunatic," Khamenei wrote on Twitter.
Khamenei took to Twitter with the hashtag "Jacob Blake," a young American man who was shot dead last week in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
It is worth mentioning that during the protests in November last year, which began in protest of the unprecedented increase in fuel prices, Basij forces, plainclothes and security forces, all under the orders of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, opened fire on the demonstrators and more than 1,500 demonstrators, including women and  Children and young people were killed.
At least 1,500 Iranian protesters were killed, Reuters reported, citing Interior Ministry sources.
Nearly a year after that incident, the authorities of the Islamic Republic have not yet officially provided accurate statistics on the victims of last year's protests.
