Kurdistan referendum commission invites international observers

07-09-2017 - ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — Kurdistan's Independent High Elections and Referendum Commission (IHERC) is inviting international bodies to observe the Kurdistan Region's September 25 referendum on independence.An authorized team representative should first fill out an International Observer Registration Form 84 available at the IHERC office by hand or online on the Kurdistan Regional Government website.
"The team representative should complete section A of form 84, sign and email it to IHERC. Following the submission of Form 84, the IHERC officer will assign a unique accreditation number to the observation team," read a statement released by the KRG.
After the form is completed, it can be delivered to the IHERC office in Erbil or emailed to rmpd.khec@gmail.com.
"Once an accreditation number of the registration team is assigned, the team should fill out Form 85 (٨٥). This form includes the full names of team members and their passport numbers. Registration is completed once Form 85 (٨٥) is filled out, signed and emailed to IHERC," detailed the statement.
Should potential observers need further clarification, they may contact Niyaz Barzani, the Special Advisor to the KRG in the US, or Alex Ebsary, the Director of Public and Academic Affairs for the KRG in the US.
