Afghan army officer assassinated in Kabul city

17-05-2020 - Tariq Arian, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), said unknown gunmen assassinated an officer of the Afghan army in the 12th district of the city earlier today.Arian further added that the gunmen opened fire on Afghan Army officers, killing one of them and wounding another officer.
According to Arian, the security forces are investigating the incident and as a result five people who were riding motorcycles have been arrested so far.
No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
